These conditions are agreed between MRJOIAS Online and the users (designated henceforth as clients/shoppers/users) that wish to navigate and purchase on www.mrjoias.pt.
The navigation, as well as the entry of data in this website implies the agreement to the terms and conditions and the privacy policy.
When proceeding to order at MRJOIAS Online, the user:
- Declares that they have read the terms and conditions;
- Agrees to not engage in unauthorized or fraudulent use of the website;
- Agrees that in the event of conflict with the user, the Portuguese legislation will be in charge of regulating, notwithstanding the legal provision to the contrary, community directive or international treaty.
SHIPPING AND ORDERS
When registering and paying an order acceptance of the prices and descriptions of products available for sale are implied.
All orders are subject to approval and product availability. When the user places items in the shopping cart, these items are not booked and may be purchased by other shoppers.
MRJOIAS Online will store a register of all transactions.
MRJOIAS Online’s orders are delivered Tuesday to Friday between 09:00H and 19:00H, with the exceptions of the 24th, 25th 26th and 31st of December, 1st and 2nd of January and on local/public holidays, days on which the courier doesn’t deliver. Orders placed after 14:00H will only be shipped on the next business day. The courier doesn't deliver on weekends, therefore, orders placed after 14:00H on Thursday, will only be shipped on Monday.
All orders are shipped from MRJOIAS Online’s warehouse after there’s been payment confirmation. Once the package is shipped, MRJOIAS Online will update the order status and you will receive an email informing that the order is on the way. After that, the delivery address can’t be changed.
SHIPPING FEES
Shipping fees will be added to the user's order total on the checkout process. As every order is unique, shipping fees will vary depending on the weight and destination of your chosen items.
During the purchase process, the user will be required to provide the shipping address. If the user wishes to send products to more than one address, they should place one order for each address.

CLICK & COLLECT
We offer Click & Collect service, giving our clients the possibility of picking up their orders at our stores at no additional cost. As soon as the order status is changed to "Ready for pickup", clients may pickup their orders in the following hours:

After placing an order, the user will receive a confirmation email with all order details.
Unless the client cancels their order, the approval and conclusion of the order is only confirmed when the order status appears as "Fulfilled”, only MRJOIAS Online has the authority to approve orders.
MRJOIAS Online reserves the right to not approve an order if, for example, the payment is unauthorized, if constraints with the couriers occur, if an error in the system occurs and a product is no longer available or the shopper doesn’t satisfy the eligibility criteria defined below in the "Payments” section.
MRJOIAS Online may refuse to process and thus not approve an order at any time and under any criteria. MRJOIAS Online should not be liable before any user or third-party for removing or editing any item or content from the website, in case this item has or hasn’t been sold or displayed before.
In the event that an order isn’t approved MRJOIAS Online will send an email as soon as possible informing the user, and if possible will help to solve the issue.
MRJOIAS Online ships to Continental Portugal, Madeira, Azores, Peninsular Spain, Baltic Islands, Canary Islands, Ceuta, Melilla and the European Union. In these countries, only mainland territory is included. Deliveries are shipped through our couriers (Nacex and UPS) and collected at one of our stores. The selection of the delivery method is done by the client when registering an order.
All orders are delivered by hand as the courier needs to identify the person who receives the package at the moment of delivery.
For all countries, prices include Portuguese VAT at 23%. Orders to countries outside of the European Union (EU) may be subject to import duties and/or taxes, which are levied once the package reaches the user’s country. If the user incurs in any additional charges they must be rendered in order for its package to clear customs. Please contact your local customs office for more information.
PROCESS IN CASE OF LOST PACKAGE
In case an order doesn’t arrive in the delivery time indicated by the courier, all of the necessary client documentation will be requested in order to initiate a formal complaint. MRJOIAS Online is forced to await the conclusion of this process before resending the order or refunding the client. This waiting period is imposed by the courier and thus MRJOIAS Online cannot be held accountable.
PRICES
All prices at MRJOIAS Online are shown in EUR €, with taxes included. The displayed price doesn’t include shipping fees however it does include Portuguese VAT (23%). MRJOIAS Online reserves the right to change prices of the products sold without prior notice. Once an order has been registered successfully, the prices of the products will be valid throughout the confirmation and payment process of that order.
Even though all efforts are made to keep the website as updated as possible, it is possible that sporadic errors are made in the entry of products’ prices. In the event that MRJOIAS Online finds these errors, we will contact the users which have the products in question in their orders and which the orders have not yet been dispatched from our facilities in order to proceed to the alteration of the price to the correct one, altering order invoices that have not yet been paid or refunding in the cases in which they have already been paid.
PAYMENT
Payment at MRJOIAS Online may be done via Credit/Debit Card, ApplePay/GooglePay/ShopPay and PayPal for all countries and MB Way and ATM Reference for Portugal (Continental and Islands).
All transactions made at MRJOIAS Online are forwarded and handled through dedicated third-party gateways to ensure your safety. MRJOIAS Online isn’t responsible for the payment process and doesn’t store card numbers or any other payment information, this data is dealt by Shopify, SIBS and Paypal and are encrypted using SSL/TLS encryption. Please visit your preferred payment platform and read their terms and conditions as they are responsible for all transactions done at our website.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
In order to place orders at www.mrjoias.pt the shopper confirms that they are at least 18 years old, that they are of legal age at their residencies’ jurisdiction and that they have the legal possibility of contracting and using their own payment methods. The shopper also declares that the details provided, namely the payment details, are correct and valid.
EXCHANGES AND RETURNS
If for any reason the client is not satisfied with an order purchased at MRJOIAS Online, it can be exchanged or returned. In that case the exchange/return should be delivered to our facilities within 14 days from the date of delivery.
Returns and exchanges must arrive respecting the following conditions:
- Items must be returned in the same condition you received them;
- Items must be returned with all packaging and other accessories received with the order;
- MRJOIAS Online reserves the right to not accept exchanges/returns that haven't been previously authorized.
Exchanges or returns that don’t respect these conditions will not be accepted.
All shipping fees associated with exchanges/returns are of the client’s responsibility.
MRJOIAS Online only accepts exchanges of items of the same or higher value as the original purchase.
MRJOIAS Online doesn’t exchange or refund custom or made to order pieces.
As soon as the order is delivered, all pieces should be carefully checked. In case of defect, you should immediately email us at online@mrjoias.pt.
The following are not considered defects, but rather signs of wear:
- The normal tear caused by everyday wear;
- Wrongful/abusive use;
- Improper cleaning;
- Negligence;
- Accidents.
In the case of incorrect items, the client must contact MRJOIAS Online via email (online@mrjoias.pt) immediately after delivery.
MRJOIAS Online doesn’t do exchanges or refunds on items that weren’t bought at www.mrjoias.pt.
MRJOIAS ONLINE has an exchange and refund policy, however if we identify clients that continually and consistently carry out exchanges and refunds we may, at our own discretion, close those accounts or refuse future orders.
On orders where shipping fees were charged, these fees will not be included in the exchange value, only the purchased items’ value is included.
On orders where shipping fees were free, the exchange value will be the same as the original purchase. In this case, the shipping fees of the new pieces will be free if the original purchase value is equal or superior to:
- Continental Portugal: 200€
- Madeira: 1060€
- Azores: 1060€
- Peninsular Spain: 350€
- Balearic Islands: 450€
- Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla: 630€
- France: 580€
- Italy, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg: 670€
- Austria: 940€

REFUNDS
Refunds are only elegible for the client who purchased the order.
Refunds will be processed as soon as returned items have been checked and accepted.
On orders where shipping fees were free, that value is deducted on the refund (purchase value minus shipping fee). On orders where shipping fees were charged, those fees will not be refunded.
Refunds will be processed using the same payment method as the purchase (total purchase value minus the transaction fees). If for any reason, the refund is not possible using the same payment method, MRJOIAS Online will contact the client in order to process the refund via bank transfer.
JEWELRY CARE & REPAIR
To ensure the durability of your jewelry, you should:
- Avoid contact with abrasive/chemical products, including detergents, cosmetics and perfumes, particularly in plated jewelry;
- Avoid contact with sweat, chlorine and sea water;
- Carefully and separately store each piece to avoid friction and oxidation;
- Put your jewelry last when dressing and remove it first when undressing.
MRJOIAS Online provides assistance to all its items (the cost of the assistance will vary depending on the piece and necessary assistance), with the exception of pieces that have been previously assisted by non-authorized repair shops.
MRJOIAS Online reserves the right to not accept repairs that haven't been previously authorized.
All shipping fees associated with repairs are of the client’s responsibility.
MRJOIAS Online is the owner of the website www.mrjoias.pt and its content.
This includes documentation, images, characters, design, software, codes and script formats. All of the material shown at MRJOIAS Online is protected by author rights. The reproductions, modification, transmission, republishing and/or redistribution to third-parties, for commercial purposes are strictly prohibited without MRJOIAS Online’s prior consent.
CONTENT
Besides the rights contemplated in "INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS ", "CONTENT” refers to illustrations, pictures, sounds, musics, videos, audios and texts at www.mrjoias.pt. MRJOIAS Online tries to assure that all information displayed is precise, updated and complete, however MRJOIAS Online is not liable for eventual mistakes or imprecisions that may occur.
CERTIFICATION AND HALLMARKING
MRJOIAS Online’s pieces made in 835‰ silver, 925‰ silver, 9kt gold (375‰), 14kt gold (585‰), 18kt gold (750‰) and 19,2kt gold (800‰) are hallmarked, meeting all quality requirements, and certified by INCM (Imprensa Nacional Casa da Moeda).
The application of assay office marks is mandatory for silver pieces that weigh more than 2 grams and gold pieces that weigh over 0,5 grams. In the case of silver pieces that weigh less than 2 grams or gold pieces that weigh less than 0,5 grams, only the application of contrast with the responsibility mark of the manufacturer or equivalent is mandatory.

INCM assay offices provide this assurance by checking the legal fineness (the proportion of precious metal in an alloy) and applying the hallmark alongside the responsibility mark, manufacturer’s mark or equivalent. In case of doubt about the authenticity of the marks, the buyer can request, for verification purposes, to the services of the INCM Assay Offices.
